Tony Kgoroge

Tony Kgoroge is a South African actor and director who started his acting career path in cinema as the lead character in the South African crime film, Hijack Stories (2000), directed by Oliver Schmitz, which was screened at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. He also acted alongside Don Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo and Joaquin Phoenix in the British-Italian-South African historical drama film, Hotel Rwanda (2004), considered a moderate financial success entwined with positive critical reviews and several awards. He is best known for his performances as a Liberian army officer in Blood Diamond (2006), as Jason Tshabalala in Clint Eastwood’s movie Invictus (2009) and as Walter Sisulu in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013).
