The true story of the spy who challenged an empire.

Based on the true story of Ryszard Kuklinski, a Polish Army colonel who spied for the American Central Intelligence Agency during the height of the Cold War, this riveting spy thriller is the tale of a man who dares to challenge the Soviet empire. While planning the maneuvers of the Warsaw Pact forces, Kuklinski has access to top secrets. He gets to know that the American nuclear counterattack against Soviet forces is planned to be executed on Polish territory. Thanks to his determination, he starts a long, lonely and psychologically exhausting cooperation with CIA. From that moment the lives of him and his family are in constant danger as one careless move may lead to tragedy. The film was nominated for several awards around the world and won best actress for Maja Ostaszewska at the Polish Film Awards.
